Version 1.02 - Change log


Version 1.02 is out to implement some changes and new features.

Changes and new features:

  1.  There is now a chance for the rival to drop an Arcane Abeyance bead upon being hit. The bead contains a Chronurgy spell that gives the player 10 extra seconds if the player picks it up. This provides an extra incentive to engage the rival, and adds an option to prolong the match. 
  2. The instructions now contain the pause option, which existed in all versions but was not in the instructions. You can pause the game and see the pause menu by pressing ESC.
  3.  Due to popular demand, the end-state scroll (win/lose/tie) now contains the option to play again without going through the credits and title pages again. I also changed it so that if the player presses nothing and waits for a few seconds, the game moves on to the credits roll automatically, rather than the "press any button to continue" mechanic it had before.
  4. Sound effects for picking up a Beacon and for picking up a Bead were added.

Bug fixes:

  • A bug where the music would get quieter and quieter until mute with every iteration of the game in the same session has been resolved. Music now works as expected.
  • The "Quit" button should now work in the embedded player.
